PSL 9 Draft Pick Order

As of earlier this month, the pick order for the Player Draft was set. The Quetta Gladiators will have the first pick. The order of the selections for the first round in the Platinum group was based on the opposite of how the teams did in the previous season.

The PCB said in a press statement that the PSL 9 draft schedule was made using a statistical tool. The main goal was to give all franchises an equal chance based on the teams they kept and ensure all six teams had the best possible lineups.

The process of renewing local player categories for the ninth event, which starts on November 10, was finished. Nine players’ categories were upgraded. The registration window for foreign players began on October 25, and some of the best players in the world have already shown interest.

PSL 9 Trade

Hassan Ali, who went from Peshawar Zalmi to Islamabad a few years ago, has joined Karachi Kings after being team captain for a long time. On the other hand, Imad Wasim has left to play for his hometown team, Islamabad United.

The teams from Quetta and Multan have agreed to make another big deal. Multan sent Rilee Rossouw to trade in with Iftikhar Ahmed in this considerable deal. Both teams looked at how they would work together, and the trade is an excellent fit for both sides.

PSL 9 Venue

There were rumours earlier that the first 15 games of the ninth PSL season might be moved to the UAE or South Africa because of the upcoming general elections.

According to insiders, the PSL governing council’s meeting was over, and they agreed that the domestic tournament would run from February 8 to March 24. The PCB had already told sponsors and production staff about this choice.

However, holding the first part of the PSL in Pakistan is challenging because of the upcoming general elections. Zaka Ashraf, head of the PCB management committee, suggested that the idea of holding the PSL abroad be considered. However, teams were concerned that the PSL is the country’s brand and should be kept in Pakistan.

Franchises said that sending the PSL to another country would cost more money. They said they thought the event should be held in Pakistan and asked the Interior Ministry for permission. If there are safety worries during the elections, having the PSL abroad might be looked at again.

But the PSL franchises were curious if they wanted to hold the domestic top event outside of India. “The PSL should take place in Pakistan because it represents the country.”
