Nepal and Oman Qualify for the T20 World Cup 2024

Yesterday, Nepal and Oman won their semi-finals in the ICC’s Asia region playoffs, and qualify for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.

Oman beat Bahrain by 10 wickets, and Nepal beat the UAE by 8 wickets after a tough run chase. Nepal and Oman have now qualified for the T20 World Cup 2024, which will be held in the West Indies and the United States of America (USA).

This means that 18 teams have now secured their spots in the big event. The last two spots will be decided at the Africa playoffs, which end at the end of the month.

It was a big event, and the hosts, West Indies, and the USA made sure they would be back next year. The top eight teams, including Australia, England, India, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Pakistan, South Africa, and Sri Lanka, also made sure they would be back.

At the same time, Afghanistan and Bangladesh, the next two best teams in the tournament, locked up their spots.

From the Europe region qualifiers, Ireland and Scotland made it to the T20 World Cup 2024. Papua New Guinea made it from the East Asia-Pacific region, and Canada made it from the Americas region.

There will be a record 20 teams in the T20 World Cup next year. They will be split into four groups. There will be two groups of four teams in the Super Eight phase. The top two teams from each group will move on to the next round.
